Jamaica juice and mangoes

Noah

Today, we learned how to make the drink Jamaica. The Jamaica is made with dried hibiscus flowers. You take the flowers and add water in a saucepan, and then you boil them for a few minutes. That makes a hibiscus tea. You add sugar. You had the sugary tea to a pitcher of water, then you strain the flowers out and you put that in the refrigerator. And then you have Jamaica! It’s sweet with a tiny hint of bitter. I like it.

For dinner, we had salmon, beans, mango salsa, bread and butter and Jamaica.

The mango salsa is made with local mangos and cilantro. The mango salsa is good. It’s sweet and kind of bitter.

I think the Jamaica tastes a little sour and quite sweet. It’s a little tart. It’s very dark red. As red as a rose.

Having dinner. Our new dining-table is outside!

The mangos were very yellow, yellow as the sun. The mangos tasted tart-y too.
